Why Your Independent Attitude May Be Hurting You

why-your-independent-attitude-may-be-hurting-you-virtuousvirgosAll the women, who are independent. Throw your hands up at me! I-N-D-E-P-E-N-D-E-N-T do you know what that mean mane? Do you recognize what songs these words are from? Being independent is AWESOME and being self-sufficient is so needed. However, there are times where this attitude can hinder you or cause more harm than good.

  • You are guarded. | You never want to open up, you don’t have flaws. You are a perfect #bossbabe. We are all striving to be successful in life and want to be the best. Well everyone except you that is. There was only person who was perfect…his name started with a J and ended with an s and kinda rhymes with Yeezus.

  • You are unapproachable. | You are so  high and mighty. No one can come near you. No seriously. NO.ONE. You could be missing out on prime opportunities. A smile can come a loooonng way. Oh you are just not a smiling person? Why not? You mad because you woke to live another day on earth?

  • You never need. | Being independent means you don’t know have to depend on anyone else. Doing everything yourself can be very stressful. Matthew 7:7 says it very well “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.” Are you asking or just solving everything yourself?

  • You have developed a jaded attitude. | At some point in your life someone did something that shook your trust. So now you take care of everything yourself. We are human. We all have or will make mistakes that will disappoint people. This is just a part of life. No need to feel defeated and throw out all opportunities because of someone else’s mistakes. Disappointment is very painful and is over to get over. You have to move forward and know that God has more in store for you.

All of these are just a few things can happen without balance. We need each other to get through life. Don’t be afraid to ask for help. You only have one life my friend, live it being the best you!

  1. This post has a lot of great points. I’ve been at the point where I was too independent and I’m so glad that I changed that attitude. It’s not a bad thing to be open and let your walls down. I’ve written a post similar on my blog. You guys should check it out❤️️

Let's talk about it.
