It’s not new I have an undercut. It’s been about 3 months and maintenance is key. Selecting the right artist to keep up your new canvas is vital to loving your undercut continuously.
You definitely need to research the shop and/or the artist within. I found Star City Barber Shop on Instagram and immediately admired all their work and professionalism. As a woman, I wanted to feel comfortable in the setting in which I was to be serviced.
After reviewing the shop and their artist, I was confident that any artist within the doors could execute my vision. Upon arrival without an appointment, I was serviced quickly. (*Disclaimer: I do suggest making appointments to avoid waiting or being turned away if they are booked.)
The connection with Nam happen by divine intervention, I had an appointment with another barber who was running over and Nam was closing for the day. After waiting for some time Nam offered to clean me up and I gladly accepted as I had another engagement to get to shortly.
I select a new design on average every 2-3 weeks depending on if there are any special events or if I simply want a new design.
I treat my cut area the same as I treat the rest of my hair, it just takes less product. 🙂
