Put a Name on It, Claim It, and Do It
Now it’s time to put action behind words to see results.
“As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.” ~James 2:26
We commonly find it’s effortless to choose a goal, dream or an ambition to go after (Hence the Name It part), and then declare it (Hence the Claim It part). The most difficult part is something hardly ever discussed – the action it takes to back up these claims and professions of faith (The Do It part).
Before we officially started our blog Virtuous Virgos, we talked and talked about for months. We would say ohhh this will be fun to write about when we start our blog. Then we would go shopping and say ohhh this would be such a cute look to post. Then FINALLY the light bulb went off for us like..why..are we TALKING about this and not ACTUALLY doing all these things we are talking about?!? We officially started our blog the first of October, it was scary and exciting at the same time.
Your words have power, for in Proverbs 18:21 it states “Death and life are in the power of the tongue….” (KJV)
Remember there is more we are required to do. God is always in the blessing business, but you have to do your part. You have to want it and put in work. Nothing comes easy, if it does…then it’s not worth it. Don’t keep talking about you don’t have any money but you are not willing to go look for a job or go get more education.
If you spend time wishing, the days, weeks and years will pass. Time waits for no one. Praise God for blessing you with the ability to achieve those dreams and aspirations. For all things are possible through Christ who gives you strength. Philippians 4:13 (NKJV)
Evaluate yourself and identify what you have been sitting on? What work has the Lord placed on you that you need to put into action?
Go Do It. Whatever your IT is.
