How You Can Slay Your Next Protective Style

We have FINALLY hit colder weather here in Texas. So with that in mind, colder weather is harsh on our natural curls. We are big fans of protective styling as we both have been rocking box braids and crochet Senegalese twists.

However, there are other options that can be used as well. Natural hair extensions and wigs are wonderful ways to blend your low-manipulation styles like twistouts and braidouts for a fuller look. Xotica Hair is a perfect option to use to switch up your protective style. Whether you are looking for clip-in extensions, closures, silk head scarves, weaves, and wigs, they got it!

Xotica Hair has an incredible selection of options that you can pick your hair texture, length, and style you would like. You can have a blowout look or add some fullness to your normal twistout. Also if you are unsure of what curl pattern you need order a sample. If you are not used to wearing weaves, we suggest you use the clip-in options. Clip-ins are very easy to blend in with your natural texture and you can still wear all of your hair out if you choose. Closures are needed when wearing weave if you want to wear a complete protective style. Steph is a personal fan of closures and weaves because they helped her transitioned without causing damage to her fragile hair. Lastly, if you want to change up your ENTIRE look quickly then Xotica Hair has some bomb wigs that are so beautiful.

If you are wanting to explore new looks and #slay a little more there are so many PERFECT options to use! Be sure to follow Xotica Hair on Instagram! Pssstt…if you click the link in their bio you can get a discount!! The Xotica Hair YouTube channel has tons of videos for style inspiration and tips. Here is one of our favorite videos.

Why use natural hair texture versus everything else? You will ACTUALLY be able to blend your hair with it. Do you remember the comedy show Reno 911? One of the funniest things that Niecy Nash’s character Raineesha Williams said about one woman’s weave was that the front was looking like China and the back looking like Africa! Oh emmm gee, please do not let this be you honey! Don’t.Do.It. Our natural curls are soooo beautiful. Be yourself.
